When?
The ESOC Climbing Club goes climbing regularly on Thursday evenings leaving from outside the ESOC main gates at 18:00.
In the winter the club goes climbing at an indoor wall, e.g. Bewegungsforum in Nieder-Olm or T-Hall in Frankfurt.
In the summer we usually go climbing outdoors but if the weather does not play along then we tend to head indoors.
Check the forum or look out for emails through the email distribution list to see if anyone is going and if so where.
Why?
The purpose of the ESOC Climbing Club is to:
- offer the opportunity for people at ESOC and EUMETSAT, as well as those from other companies and organisations in the Rhein-Main area, to go climbing and try other climbing related activities.
- provide an environment where people from different nationalities and backgrounds can socialise after work.
- provide a means of receiving the necessary training to practise the sport in a safe and enjoyable manner.
- organise climbing trips throughout Europe over weekends or possibly for a week.
- introduce and encourage others at ESOC and EUMETSAT to try the sport of climbing and other climbing related activities.
- financially subsidise the activities of the Club.
